소년보호관찰 종료자의 기질성격특성과 보호관찰만족도를 통한 재범예측
본 연구는 소년 보호관찰 종료자를 대상으로 개인의 기질성격특성과 보호관찰 경험에 대한 만족도 조사를 통하여 보호관찰 재범요인을 예측하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법으 로는 안산보호관찰소 소년보호관찰 종료자 179명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으 며, 설문내용으로는 범죄경험과 인구사회학적 특성, 보호관찰경험의 만족도, 기질성격특 성에 관련된 질문이었다. 수집된 데이터는 연구문제에 따라 기술통계, 상관분석, 카이제 곱 검증, t-test, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 범죄경력과 기질성격척도 및 보호관찰경험 만족도와의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 기질 HA3척도와 성격 C2척도가 부적상관관계로 나타났다. 이는 낮선 사람에 대한 수줍 음과 공감에 관련한 척도로 범죄경력이 증가할수록 낯선 대인관계에서 위축되지 않고 자신감 있는 태도가 있으며, 자신과 다른 목표나 가치관을 갖는 사람을 받아들이기 어려 워하는 것을 의미한다. 범죄경력과 만족도는 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 초범집 단과 재범집단으로 구분하여 인구사회학적 특성과 만족도(빈)의 카이제곱분석을 실시한 결과 재범집단은 17세 이상, 한 부모 가정, 재산범 형태에 많이 분포하였다. 초범집단의 만족도(빈)값은 ‘만족’과 ‘불만족’에 양분되어 분포하였고 재범집단은 ‘보통’에 많이 분포 하였다. 셋째, 초범집단과 재범집단간의 각 기질성격척도에 대한 독립표본 t검증과 로지 스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 기질 HA3척도와 성격 C2척도에서 유의미한 차이가 나타 났다. 추가적으로 기질성격문항과의 독립표본 t검증을 실시한 결과 5개의 유의미한 문항 이 있었으며, 기준집단과도 평균 비교를 한 결과 HA3척도와 C2척도에서 차이를 보여주 었다. 이러한 반복적인 결과를 바탕으로 보호관찰 청소년과 관련하여 HA3(수줍음)척도 와 C2(공감)척도가 재범예측의 중요한 요소로 작용하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과 를 바탕으로 소년보호관찰 재범예측을 위한 대안을 제시하였고 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계에 대하여 논의하였다.
Prediction of recidivism based on retired juvenile probationers’ temperament-character traits and satisfaction of probation
The purpose of this experiment is to predict the main cause of probation recidivism through satisfaction survey on individual temperament-character and experiences of retired juvenile probationers. As a research method, the survey was conducted on 179 retired juvenile probationers of Anshan probation office and the survey included questions about experience of crime, sociodemographic characteristics, satisfaction of probation experience and temperament-character traits. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, chi-square test, t-test and logistic regression analysis based on research question and the results are as follows: Firstly, analyzing the relationships between criminal history and temperament character as well as probation satisfaction revealed that HA3 temperament scale and C2 character scale showed negative correlation. These scales measure shyness and sympathy toward strangers and they display that with more experiences of crime, one shows less intimidation and more confidence in interaction with strangers and has difficulty accepting those who have different goals or values. Criminal history and satisfaction did not show any correlation. Secondly, the result of chi-square analysis on sociodemographic characteristics and satisfaction level of the subjects who were divided into first-time offender and recidivist showed that the recidivist group was mostly distributed in the age over 17 years, single-parent family and property-offenders. The first-time offender group’s satisfaction level was distributed in two groups of either “satisfaction” or "dissatisfaction", while recidivist group stayed mostly in “average”. Thirdly, performing an independent sample t-test and logistic-regression analysis on temperament character inventory of first-time offender and recidivist group, HA3 temperament scale and C2 character scale showed significant differences. In addition, mean comparison to base population showed differences in HA3 and C2 scales and performing t-test on the temperament character questions showed 5 questions that were meaningful. Based on these repetitive results, HA3 (shyness) scale and C2 (sympathy) scale in adolescents under juvenile probation plays as an important factor in predicting recidivism. Based on these results, alternative plans were proposed for predicting recidivism from juvenile probation and lastly, discussions about the significances and limits from the last experiment.
